Artist statement

Photography speaks for me when words fail.

At the core of my portraiture is a profound fascination with people—their elusive sense of identity and the emotions that resonate within. I strive to depict individuals authentically, free from any preconceived notions of “flaws”. My approach is a continuous exploration of the perfect balance between staged environments and spontaneous moments. By placing subjects in situations that encourage them to behave naturally, I facilitate a space for improvisation, ensuring that the photographs genuinely reflect our collaborative interaction.

I have honed my skills in projection photography, utilizing graphic projectors, smoke machines, and textured, gradient backgrounds to enhance my artistic expression. This technique allows me to investigate deeply into human behaviors, relationships with self, and personal values. It also illuminates the often-hidden desires of individuals to explore their physicality in a protected environment.

These photographic narratives invite viewers to engage deeply with the stories portrayed, prompting reflection, understanding, and acceptance of differences. By emphasizing honesty and the simplicity of my message, I aim to foster dialogue, empathy, and mutual respect among those who view my work.
